Proud Spartan fighter Kallia Kourouni won by TKO WBC Interntational title in Mexico !

Kallia Kourouni made her dream come true as she won tonight in Mexico the ‘WBC International’ title in the super featherweight division.

It was obvious already from the weight in that ‘Pink Tyson’ would not let this opportunity go, as she worked hard the previous years to come so far in her career.

We must tone that Mexican fighter Dayanna 'La Guerita' Gonzalez was 3 kilos overweight at the official weight in and so she couldn’t claim the title even if she won the fight.

Kourouni won the fight by technical knockout in the seventh round. She had the complete control from the beginning and kept pressure Gonzalez across all corners of the ring with hard body and head punches as you can see in the video below.

In the last round Kourouni amazingly gave 22 straight punches with Dayanna against the ropes that forced the referee to jump between them and stop the fight.

Kourouni, a proud Greek fighter from Sparta, celebrated the win with her team while the traditional greek song ‘Zeibekiko of Evdokia’ could be heard in the arena.

«I am a proud woman from Sparta», yelled in the microphone right after.
